Hello RRISEing Educators! We are so excited to meet you and connect you with fellow educators who want to take action on environmental, social, and economic injustices in your community! We are constantly developing ways to help educators RRISE UP for issues they care most about that directly impact lives. We know the power that teachers have in the classroom to elevate and activate student agency. We are here to support you in those efforts and to create networking spaces that will build capacity and amplify this work.
Think about your strengths and what level of action you want to take. Activate your agency through speaking, teaching, or leading!
Speaker - You have and want to continue building on skills to talk about environmental, social, and economic injustices that impact your school/community.
Educator - You want to learn more and teach other RRISEing educators about these issues to amplify our collective impact.
Leader - You are ready to help other RRISEing educators to take action in meaningful ways in their schools/community.

RRISEing Educators Taking Action

Call for Educator Proposals!
Description: Calling all educators who are ready to RRISE UP and take action on environmental, social, or economic injustices in your classroom and school! We are funding meaningful classroom, school, or community projects up to $200! Send us a proposal for what you would do with the money and how it would make a difference (big or small) for your students.
Here are some ideas to get the wheels turning, but we encourage creative thinking!
- Start and rally support for a school or community garden.
- Teach students about composting.
- Organize beach clean ups with students.
- Create a lesson that allows students to identify and take action on school related issues.
- Use the money to launch a school or community initiative.
- Spread awareness and help your school move to more sustainable practices.
- Start a food and clothing drive to teach about sustainability among students.
