Erin Vines, Ed.D.

Dr. Erin Vines received his doctorate from the University of Southern California in Educational Leadership. His research is focused on using action research to close equity gaps in higher education. Dr. Vines received two master’s degrees, one in Education Counseling from California State University, Bakersfield, and the other from the University of LaVerne in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Vines earned a basketball scholarship from California State University, Bakersfield, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. He also received an Associate in Arts in Liberal Studies from Reedley College.

Dr. Vines previously served as Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Student Services at Antelope Valley College (AVC) in Southern California. Before his arrival to AVC, Dr. Vines was Dean of Counseling and Special Services at Solano Community College. Dr. Vines also has experience at the secondary level where he served as a high school administrator for seven years, prior to which he served as a counselor, teacher, and coach.
